One of the UK's largest vocational training providers are seeking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic Carpentry Tutor/Trainer to join their dynamic and expanding team.
Working with adult career changers, young people on government funded apprenticeships and commercially qualified trades people, the successful applicant must be able to engage and encourage successful learning.
The Role:
* Ability to encourage successful learning to a wide range of individuals
* Effectively able to demonstrate both practical and theory elements in relation to the trade
* Assist in the creation of tutorial programs that help guide and assist students with class work, homework, problem solving, report writing and test preparation
* Provide a flexible and responsive approach to training of students and learners so they can achieve the required skills and performance standards of the course
* Carry our regular progress reviews to ensure success in all components of the course
The candidate:
* Should be qualified to NVQ Level 3 or industry equivalent in Carpentry
* Experience in delivering construction training is desirable
* Teaching qualification / Certificate in Education or equivalent would be a distinct advantage although not essential
* Ability to demonstrate working practices of the trade to students
