The Role:
We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Fitter, Machine Maintenance Engineer, HGV/Plant Mechanical Engineer to help maintain Plant Machinery for a rapidly growing, region leading recycling company based in Cheshire.
Following a full training program on all the sites vehicles and tools, the successful candidate will self-supervise, only needing to refer to management for specific expert advice.
The main duties of this role include:
- Preventative and reactionary maintenance on the recycling machines
- Providing support for other maintenance engineers on site
- Fault Finding
- Compiling weekly and monthly inspection reports
- Supervising the plant area
- Monitor and manage the site health & safety procedures and maintenance schedules
- Working to strict Health & Safety regulations
This role has come available as the previous occupier of the position has been promoted to another role. Due to recent worldwide recognition of the need to recycle, our client is experiencing a massive growth trend, both in terms of the market place and in their own organisation. This has opened the way for a new person to be employed and trained to take this key role, which is tantamount in the smooth running of the operation.
You will receive full and thorough training in all the machines and vehicles, and then allowed to work under your own supervision. Expert advice will be available to you when required.
The role will include a Van & Tools if necessary.
Full Training:
The company offers a comprehensive training plan. It’s use of specialist and new equipment will require the ability to learn quickly, but will also keep the role varied and interesting.
There is also the opportunity to pick up various licenses and qualifications that will enhance your professional career, something far too few employers are willing to offer these days.
- Extensive full training is given.
- Due to the nature of the machines it is unlikely that you will have experience in the exact area, so it is not expected
- New machines are often acquired. Full professional training will always be given in these instances.
- There is the opportunity to acquire various relevant licences to drive plant machinery.
Salary & Bonus:
£28,000 per year
Overtime is available if desired at approx. £12ph
However, Salary is negotiable, based on experience
Bonus:
A Christmas bonus is paid. Amount dependant on Company Performance. Usually circa £500
Candidate Requirements:
- Candidates must have a City & Guilds Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering, or the equivalent in some other form
- Experience working with/servicing HGV's
- Some experience in Hydraulics desirable
