Job Description
A chartered secretary is required at managerial level for a busy independent company secretarial practice in London. Candidates must be ICSA qualified and/or hold an appropriate legal qualification.A minimum of four years experience, ideally in a professional practice, is essential and the successful candidate will be required to exhibit a strong knowledge of corporate compliance matters and more complex company law and corporate secretarial issues.The successful candidate will also be required to manage relationships with domestic and international clients and the development of new business will be within the remit of the role. Attention to detail, excellent communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to prioritise work will be attributes of paramount importance.
Duties:
The role will involve a variety of functions, to include:
- Maintaining and managing a relationship with clients in respect of a portfolio of companies and ensuring that their annual compliance and statutory filing obligations are attended to.
- Drafting of legal and company secretarial documents in connection with corporate restructuring, corporate governance and stamp/capital duty.
- Managing more junior staff and assisting with their technical and personal development.
- Attending at board and client meetings.
- Liasing with auditors, other professional advisors and intermediaries on a daily basis.
- Undertaking ad-hoc assignments and preperation of reports as may be required from time to time.
- Aiding with business development.
- Responsibility for invoicing of clients on a regular basis.
