Our client is looking for an Assistant Operations Manager for the late shift to be based at their warehouse and office in Meldreth, Nr Royston Responsibilities Reporting to the Operations Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the day to day running of the operations department - this will include: * Managing the Operations Supervisors to ensure completion of all daily tasks, including picking and loading of delivery vehicles * Ensure all scheduled deliveries are planned, including traffic planning * To help recruit, train and motivate all warehouse operatives * To manage all seasonal warehouse operative staff in line with company policy * Provide accurate daily records of all Goods In/Out The Candidate: * A good team player who can take a hands on approach to the role * Class 3 driving licence * Fork Lift Licence is desirable * Previous people management skills * Experience at working at a senior management level * Computer literate * Excellent communication skills * Employment Law knowledge including working time directive * Previous experience within a frozen foods company is advantageous Hours Due to the seasonal nature of the business the hours will be as follows Winter Season - 12.00pm - 10.00pm Summer Season - 4.00pm - 2.00am You will be required to work weekends on a rota system and bank holidays (except xmas and new year) time off will be given in lieu for all bank holidays worked.
