Our client in central Saffron Walden is looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their friendly and growing team. This would suit an individual who likes to work in a busy environment and get involved in a range of accounting aspects Responsibilities Include but are not limited to: * Checking if cheques have cleared * Cash book reconciliations * Purchase ledger duties - invoice input, payment runs and bank statement reconciliation * Maintaining the general ledger journals * Managing cash receipts and payments The Candidate * Excellent numeracy and Excel skills * Proven team player * Strong communication skills * Sage experience desirable but not essential * Previous accounts experience * AAT Qualification (or equivalent) is desirable Excellent opportunity to work for a forward thinking company that train and reward staff
