Offices in the UK are suffering from the affects of work rage, a situation that involves employees becoming very frustrated, new research has revealed.
Conducted by Peninsula, the study found that 79 per cent of workers become enraged and stressed while in the office, succumbing to so-called work rage, Online Recruitment magazine reports.
Fellow colleagues are the cause of most of the stress, the study revealed, as respondents stated that many workers do not pull their weight.
Deb Gibbons, head of diversity at the firm, remarked that managers should do more to recognise the symptoms.
"Managers should be trained to spot early signs of work rage in order to diffuse quickly," she said.
"Factors outside work also play a role, but there is a lot that employers can do to resolve the problem," she added.
Employees should speak to their managers to find the cause of the stress, Ms Gibbons advised.
Private sector managers received a 4.2 per cent pay increase over recent months, according to Income Data Services.
