Training 'more important than salary' for IT staff

People that work in the IT sector are more concerned about receiving the right training for their job than they are about their salary, one expert has suggested.
The IT Job Board believes that companies also have the view that continual training to develop skilled employees is also more important than pay increases.
This is because IT is integral to businesses and how they are run, meaning staff have to be knowledgeable and efficient.
Managing director of The IT Job Board Alex Farrell said: "That makes organisations far more aware and committed to making sure that the IT staff that work for them are working in an area where they are retained and trained."
At the recent IT and Communications Sector Group meeting, it was revealed that IT recruiters rate their confidence in current market conditions as six out of ten.
