Twelve organisations have been honoured for their approach to graduate recruitment and new talent at an awards ceremony.
Lovells, Goldman Sachs International, Deloitte, Atkins, GlaxoSmithKline, PricewaterhouseCoopers, IBM UK, Allen and Overy, Marks and Spencer, KBC Financial Products, Royal Bank of Scotland and Nabarro were all presented with awards at the third annual Target National Graduate Recruitment Awards.
IBM UK won awards for graduate employer of the year, most outstanding contribution to diversity in graduate recruitment and most popular graduate recruiter in IT and communications, reports Onrec.com.
About 30,000 students and graduates voted for the most popular graduate recruiters in an independent national online poll.
Chris Phillips, publishing director for GTI, which runs the awards, said: "The winners should be delighted that graduates hold them in such high regard.
"The companies that have been named tonight really are setting the standards for others to follow."
According to the Higher Education Careers Services Unit, 61.2 per cent of those who graduated from university in 2005 are currently in some form of employment.
