It has been discovered that 3pm on a Thursday is the busiest time of the week for online job searches.
New research conducted by Experteer.co.uk has revealed that many employees seem to take advantage of the free internet in the office and do most of their job hunting during work hours.
The study also discovered that most workers prefer to keep their weekends free for personal time as Saturdays and Sundays were the least popular days to look for employment.
Torsten Muth, managing director of Experteer.co.uk, advised that looking for jobs while at work is not such a good idea.
He said: "Rushing through job ads at work will only increase people's stress level, especially when they are worried about being seen to be looking for another job."
Earlier this month, a new book entitled How to Find a Job Using the Internet was published, which offers tips on how to use the internet to look for work.
