Jobseekers may be pleased to learn that there could be new employment opportunities at supermarket chain Tesco.
This is because, according to BDO Stoy Hayward, the retailer's recent announcement that profits are up will lead to more positions being created.
The firm claims that Tesco is good at working efficiently which is likely to increase employment levels.
Likewise, expansion into other sectors such as banking will also have a positive impact.
Rupert Eastell, head of retail at BDO Stoy Hayward, said: "The secret of Tesco's success is down to their ruthless ability to focus on giving their customers great value. In addition, their supply chain has been geared accordingly."
Tesco has recently revealed that its profits are up by ten per cent on last year. Sales also topped £1 billion a week for the first time, while group sales were £59.4 billion.
