Stand-out CVs 'important during the credit crunch'
14-10-2008
The credit crunch in the UK means that many companies are having to cut staff numbers to keep costs down.
Therefore, some people may find themselves out of work and job seekers could have trouble securing interviews, onrec.com reported.
A good CV may increase people's chances of being noticed by potential employers and putting it on the internet means recruiters can access the information quickly and easily.
Karl Gregory, marketing director at iProfile.org, claims that keeping a CV updated will help applicants to stand out from the crowd.
"People wanting to maximise their chances of being matched to their perfect role should look to set up an online CV as part of their jobseeking activity," he added.
The £500 billion bailout provided by the government to try and help the financial situation in the UK is unlikely to have an effect on jobs in the banking sector, said industry expert Vivienne Farina speaking to the Recruiter.
