Scotland is to benefit from more than 250 new administrative positions when broadcasting group BSkyB expands its operations in the country.
The media giant is to create a single centre of excellence for its back office staff in Livingstone, creating 255 jobs in areas such as administration and finance.
BskyB has had a presence in Scotland since 1989, currently employing more than 5,000 staff in various roles in the country.
The company chose Scotland for the new centre over a number of global locations including India and Ireland.
Scotland's deputy first minister Nicol Stephen welcomed the news of the new development.
He said: "Scottish Development International worked hard to secure this project and it is being supported by a Regional Selective Assistance grant from the executive of £800,000.
"This announcement is evidence of the company's confidence in what Scotland has to offer as a business location."
