Sales jobs boosted by The Apprentice
The sales industry has seen an increase in popularity due to a popular TV programme, it has been claimed.

According to CV-Library, BBC One's The Apprentice programme has encouraged more jobseekers to consider entering the sector as many of its contestants boast a profitable career in sales.

Director of the firm Lee Biggins urged those searching for jobs in sales to make sure they have updated their CV.

"Companies are increasingly turning to job sites to headhunt potential talent, so if you're thinking of breaking into sales, the ability to sell yourself well in your CV could be your off-screen chance to land yourself that dream job," he stated

However, CV-Library describes the industry as "potentially lucrative" but also as "cut-throat".

Recently, author of Write a Perfect CV in a Weekend and How to Love the Job You Do Sarah Berry called on jobseekers to improve their basic skills so that they are seen as "valuable" to company.
