SAFER organisation launched to fight recruitment crime

The online recruitment industry could be given a helping hand when it comes to fighting against criminal activities targeting recruiters or jobseekers.
A drive has been launched by senior figures from a range of agencies and job boards called the Recruitment Industry Counter-Fraud Forum, known as SAFER (Safe Advice for Employment and Recruitment), Recruiter writes.
The non-profit organisation will use volunteer staff to collect information and inform people about current issues surrounding crime in the industry and what can be done about it.
Stephen Brewis, SAFER chair of Impellam, spoke at New Scotland Yard saying the "vision of SAFER is that all aspects of the industry cooperate with each other" to ensure that "by being forewarned aware we are all forearmed and able to take action".
In related news, Onrec.com recently reported that online recruitment agencies were a good way for jobseekers to make sure that their CVs are not being used by criminals to commit identity fraud.
