Online recruitment could be one of the best ways for retailers to ensure they are hiring quality member of staff, it has been reported.
Richard Doherty, vice president of UK operations at Jobpartners, states that retail employers should ensure their job site effectively promotes their brand, Onrec.com reports.
They should also keep their online application forms simple yet effective, as jobseekers have no loyalty to the firm and are unlikely to want to take 35-40 minutes filling in a form.
Mr Doherty adds that an ineffective online application can be a major turnoff for applicants.
"And worse yet for any candidate is completing a form or assessment that goes into a seemingly black hole with no feedback," he furthers.
Meanwhile, Mary Ross, an AbileneBiz contributor, has claimed that employers should use online recruitment if they are struggling to fill vacancies
