Recruitment agencies 'help match candidates to jobs'

Jobseekers struggling to find employment or a position they can settle down in may be interested to hear the opinion of one industry expert.
According to Anne Fairweather, head of public policy at the Recruitment and Employment Confederation, online recruitment agencies could prove to be handy for those looking for work.
She believes that they can be better at matching a candidate to a company as they often have a better knowledge of the firm than the jobseeker does.
Ms Fairweather continued: "Often when you go to the interview it's fine but when you turn up to work the organisation isn't quite what you had hoped for, so an agency can help reduce the chance of job disappointment."
In other employee news, many workers are now sleeping less and worrying more due to the credit crunch.
As a result, research from Friends Provident suggests that staff absenteeism could increase in the future.
