A comedy company is offering professionals the chance to learn how to increase their spontaneity at work.
The Spontaneity Shop has launched a series of London-based workshops which will give attendees the opportunity to develop their impulsiveness using a combination of acting techniques, confidence building exercises, body language study and elements of psychology.
Entitled the Open Charisma Key workshops, the sessions will be held in Euston every month with the first taking place today (March 28th) at a cost of £295 (exclusive of tax) per person.
Deborah Frances-White, head trainer for the firm, said: "Most people assume charisma is something you either have or don't. But you can be charismatic without being very tall, tremendously good-looking or wildly rich and successful. Charismatic people behave in a charismatic way and behaviour is something which can be taught and practised."
"Some people are going to find the process easier than others just like some people have more of a sense of rhythm than others. But anyone can take a dance class and get better at dancing.
"In the same way, anyone can attend our Charisma Key workshop and gain more impact. The important thing is to remove the fear that is generated in stressful situations such as job interviews, presentations or negotiations."
