PricewaterhouseCoopers voted top graduate employer
15-09-2006
Accounting and professional services firm PricewaterhouseCoopers has been voted the top graduate employer in this year's Times Top 100 Graduate Employers list.
The company claimed the top spot for the third year running in the annual poll of graduates which aims to find out which companies they think offer the best opportunities.
The other two companies in the top three were also Big Four professional services firms, with Deloitte in second place and KPMG in third.
Vacancies in the top chartered accountancy firms have rocketed by 70 per cent over the past three years, with many companies running large campus campaigns and hiring record numbers of graduates, the Times claimed.
In fourth place on the list, which was compiled by market researcher High Fliers Research, was the Civil Service, which dropped from the second place position it held last year.
The BBC rounded off the top five in fifth position, while Aldi was one of the year's highest climbers, rocketing from number 65 in 2002 to 12th position this year, perhaps helped by its £38,000 graduate starting salaries and Audi A4 cars.
