PricewaterhouseCoopers to take on 1,000 jobseekers this year
There has been some good news for jobseekers as PricewaterhouseCoopers has announced that it will be taking on 1,000 new people this year.

The professional services firm has already recruited 125 graduates at part of its employment drive in the UK.

So far competition for positions has been strong, with the number of applications for its full-time programme increasing by 38 per cent.

There has also been a 30 per cent rise in the number of people applying for its internship programme.

Sonja Stockton, head of student recruitment at PricewaterhouseCoopers, said: "Our requirements haven't changed. PwC are looking for drive, energy, commitment and proven intellectual rigour so that we can confidently invest in our people's skills to last a lifetime."

Meanwhile, High Fliers Research recently claimed that graduates are now looking for jobs which offer security rather than high salaries.
