The football club that wins next season's Premiership will net £50 million following a renegotiation of the existing media deal.
Premier League chief executive Richard Scudamore has brokered the £625 million contract with overseas broadcast and internet firms, which is in addition to the £1.7 billion deal agreed with Sky and Ireland's Setanta last year.
Since then the Premier League has also negotiated £400 million through mobile phone rights, meaning that the league will earn £900 million from next season onwards until the end of the decade.
Last season's Premiership winners Chelsea were paid £30 million in TV rights and prize money, but next year's bottom club can expect to receive the same amount under the new deal.
Mr Scudamore told the Telegraph today: "This deal really does take us on to another level. It means that the team at the top who got £30 million last year will get around £50 million while even those at the bottom will receive about £30 million."
