The adoption of an online recruitment system in Birkbeck College has seen the institution's job application process improve vastly, according to reports.
A college of The University of London, Birkbeck has reported that recruitment costs are down by 43 per cent on last year since the system was put in place, reported onrec.com.
Human resources project manager for Birkbeck Robert Morrison illustrated how the managers at the institution wanted to cut costs but also see the amount of skilled candidates flourish.
"After reviewing our recruitment procedures, it was apparent that we needed to implement an e-recruitment solution to eliminate the low value routine paper-based process," he added.
Jeff Grout, a British businessman and author, recently claimed that traditional job applications would soon be overtaken by online recruitment methods.
