The managers of small to medium-sized businesses (SMEs) are being advised that the services offered by some online recruitment companies could be of use to them.
According to the Times, many smaller firms struggle to pay the costs charged by some agencies and do not have the time to go through the hiring process themselves.
However, it is an essential part of their business as the smaller number of employees means that an individual's presence is felt more.
Scott Russell, director of CPH Consulting, said recruitment can be difficult for SMEs as "they don't have large brand names or reputations that attract the best candidates for jobs".
However, if an employer works with an agency that "suits the culture of your business", they can benefit from the service, Martyn Hart, chairman of the National Outsourcing Association states.
Last week, it was claimed by Alex Farrell, managing director of the IT Job Board, that online recruitment is "changing the face" of job hunting in the country.
