There has been a rise in the amount of online recruitment activity, the latest Monster Employment Index has revealed.
According to the firm, January succumbed to the usual seasonal dip, while February saw a boost of 32 points on the index.
Healthcare and social work are the sectors mainly responsible for the increase as they saw the most significant amount of activity, the index revealed.
Management and consultancy also performed well during the course of the month.
The managing director of Monster UK, Julian Acquari, commented that the index pointed to a positive future for recruitment during 2008.
He said: "While recruitment has clearly moderated in the financial sector, opportunities in most other industries have continued to expand. The index seems to show a positive outlook for the UK employment market."
The IT sector has also seen an increase in employment activity, according to research from CV Screen released earlier this week.
