A new course designed to help current users of Microsoft Office adapt to the latest version of the system has been designed by Pitman Training.
The "user-friendly" Office 2007…Fast! course can be undertaken in six hours of self-paced study using a workbook and an audio CD, with tutors available for assistance.
"According to Forrester Research, companies who are moving to the new system are experiencing 'more intense' training experiences. In other words - users are not finding it easy to adapt," said Laurence Gillam, product and training principal at Pitman Training.
Mr Gillam believes that upon taking the course, users will glean a comprehensive understanding of the key elements to Office 2007.
He commented: "The course has been devised for people who already work with earlier versions of Office. It highlights the key differences between the two systems and enables users to make the most of the new features without having to undergo a long training course.
"[It] is a convenient and cost-effective way for existing Microsoft Office users to get up to speed with the most important new features of the key applications within the new package. It is a user-friendly course which learners can fit in around their existing work or personal commitments."
