Over 80 new jobs are set to be created in Wales after a Japanese firm announced plans to expand its operations in the area.
Automotive parts provider Takao said it intends to spend £12 million on doubling capacity at its plant in Ebbw Vale by adding a new unit to the existing facility, which it took over in 2006.
Currently, the factory employs more than 60 people and is looking to hire more as a result of new contracts from car manufacturers based in Japan.
"This expansion by Takao, following so quickly after their initial investment, is a clear vote of confidence in Wales as a key location for business," commented Dr Brian Gibbons, minister for the economy and transport.
Cathy McLean of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors recently told the BBC that "unprecedented" construction levels in Cardiff, Newport and Swansea are expected to bring 5,000 new jobs to Wales every year until 2011.
