15-04-2004

Scores of new jobs are going to be created in Worcester following the announcement that a major new store is to expand.

More than 1m will be invested at the Keep Able shop.

The firm is a leading provider of mobility aids for elderly people and those less physically able.

More than 100 jobs will be created in Worcester and other parts of the UK as the company expands further and opens other stores.

The investment will see Keep Able's shop at Lowes-moor Wharf revamped and expanded.

There will be more services available and the layout of the shop will be improved.

The company is also planning to start a new wheelchair seating and positioning clinic, which will compliment its existing clinic in Brierley Hill, West Midlands.

Company bosses say the investment reflects the growing demand for products aimed at people with limited mobility.
