Paper mill earmarked for Norfolk
New jobs are to be created in Norfolk, as a paper mill has been earmarked to be built at the site of an old British Sugar site.

Seeking approval from West Norfolk council, the move will see hundreds of jobs created as the mill is predicted to produce 550,000 tonnes of newsprint annually, the Lynn News reports.

Palm Paper has chosen the site over others offered by Kent, Essex and Ely for the £300 million investment.

It is thought that with 300 direct positions and 300 indirect roles created, Lynn will see a huge boost from the development.

This investment follows a recent scheme from the University of East Anglia that is intended to ensure graduates stay in the Norfolk region after graduating.

Grads Norfolk has been set up to help those who are unemployed after leaving university or who feel overqualified for their current position.
