After a lucrative second quarter, fast food chain McDonald's has announced the opening of ten new sites in the UK over the next year, it has been reported.
The expansion will also see the recruitment of 4,000 new employees, the firm has said.
From April to June this year, the company reported a 7.4 per cent boost in its European profits as well as a two million a month increase in customers in the UK.
MacDonald's chief executive for the UK and Ireland Steve Easterbrook commented: "This campaign is an important milestone in the evolution of McDonald's recruitment advertising signalling a more confident and assertive attitude towards the 'McJob' term."
Last month, the fast food chain announced it would expand the amount of items on its 'pound saver menu' to target customers trying to save due to the credit crunch, brandrepublic.com reported.
