A new survey has been conducted which reveals the real opinions of human resources and training professionals when it comes to business and surviving the recession.
Conducted by Network HR, the research discovered that 47 per cent of respondents feel that they are ready to face the year ahead, Onrec.com reports.
Furthermore, although 81 per cent of those questioned said that their business was feeling the effects of the economic downturn, 51 per cent of these said they still felt secure in their jobs.
The survey also found that just under half of businesses plan to keep their training and development budgets the same over the next year, while 34 per cent feel that media coverage of the recession has been overly negative.
In a bid to help firms survive the recession, the Trades Union Congress and the Federation of Small Businesses have called for the government to offer more support for employees facing redundancy or reduced working hours.
