Online recruitment is to be used by financial services firm LV= Liverpool Victoria as it looks to improve the process for candidates and its human resources (HR) department.
The company increased its workforce from 2,000 to 3,700 this year but with only 15 HR staff it is hoped that new e-recruitment methods will help to make the process easier, Computer Weekly reports.
Many businesses are increasingly using e-recruitment to attract a wider range of candidates to vacancies, the website also claims.
Group HR director at Liverpool Victoria David Smith said: "In six months we have moved from a manual paper-based system to where we are today with a fully integrated e-recruitment system."
They are also launching an online system which makes it easier for applicants to fill in the referencing requirements needed for jobs in the financial services sector.
Recruiter reports that the number of people registering on e-recruitment websites due to redundancies has fallen, according to a poll by Robson Taylor.
