New reports suggest that love just might be in the air for a sizeable percentage of UK bosses, with more than half admitting to harbouring less than professional feelings for a staff member.
According to new research from jobs2view.com, somewhere in the region of 57 per cent of managers have a thing for one of their subordinates.
Meanwhile 30 per cent have taken a step closer to sealing the deal by actually sleeping with their target, while a fifth have had an illicit affair without their partner knowing. That said, 14 per cent of these were caught and 17 per cent were found out by their boss.
Jon Glas, managing director of jobs2view.com, highlights the risks of having an affair with the boss.
"Although it may seem like a good idea at the time, getting involved with the boss can be riddled with problems," he told Online Recruitment.
"Also, if it all goes wrong, you still have to work together afterwards which can be difficult."
Research from ntl:Telewest Business states that almost half the UK's working population would like to work from home, where the chances of getting it on with the boss would be considerably more remote.
