The legal sector saw a rise in online job demand last month, bucking the overall dip in recruitment recorded by the Monster Employment Index.
Although jobs in law have seen a decline over the previous two months, in March the index recorded a jump of 38 points.
Most other sectors dipped slightly, with human resources positions seeing a considerable decrease in demand.
Healthcare and social work positions also slipped down the index, despite the strong growth recorded in these sectors in February's survey from Monster.
Head of economic research at Monster Worldwide Hugo Sellert remained positive about the figures, but pointed towards the problems for financiers.
"The financial sector shows fewer opportunities than last year amid continued turmoil in the banking sector, but prospects for growth across most other UK industries still appear favourable," he said.
According to the Sunday Times, investment bank UBS is poised to axe another 2,000 positions at the firm's London and New York offices.
