A Preston call centre has created three hundred new jobs following an expansion.
The emergency insurance business Homeserve will be expanding its Fulwood operation when it opens a new building site in July.
Construction on the new 1,356 sq ft building on Fulwood Park was completed last month.
Now a major recruitment drive is underway as work to fit out the inside of the new building is carried out.
Chief executive Richard Harpin said, according to the Lancashire Evening Post: "When we took over the old AXA Insurance claims handling operation in Preston it had between 60 and 70 staff and we have grown that significantly in the last five years.
"We have committed to a new building, we have committed to taking on more staff and Preston is a big part of what we are doing," he added.
Homeserve announced a £90 million increase in revenue in the last year and a 29 per cent rise in operating profits since 2005 to £70.2 million.
