Online recruitment is method of choice for Woolworths

Woolworths has decided it will be using online recruitment methods to hire its Christmas staff this year so that the process is made as easy as possible for applicants.
Geocoding technologies will be used meaning job seekers can view a map and directions to their nearest store, which it is hoped will make the process more consistent across the whole company, Personnel Today reports.
Claire Samuels, retail resourcing advisor at Woolworths, said that "traditionally, recruitment was carried out at a local level".
However, it was "it was a lengthy process for candidates and very time consuming for store managers who have no dedicated time for recruitment", she explained.
The company is working with Changeworknow to create the new system which will apply to 200 stores across the country.
Retailer Argos also announced at the beginning of the month that it will be creating 15,000 new jobs as it starts looking for its Christmas staff.
