The UK IT sector is still buoyant in spite of fears of an economic slowdown this year, one expert has said.
Matthew Iveson from CV Screen has noted strong growth in the industry during the first two months of 20008.
He stated that the number of IT job applicants increased by 17 per cent in January and February compared with the last three months of 2007.
"Despite fears surrounding the credit crunch, CV Screen registered a record number of IT jobs in February which is testament to our success and also a sign that the market is still buoyant in the early months of 2008," he remarked.
Mr Iveson added that jobs creation in IT had also been positive.
It was recently suggested by Firebrand Training that IT workers could increase their wages significantly with extra industry qualifications, such as the PRINCE2 in project management.
