Job boards are showing increased signs of popularity as jobseekers continue to go online in search of that perfect position.
Figures from the National Online Recruitment Agency Survey (Noras) reveal that most job boards have recorded an increase in user numbers during the first six months of the year, indicative of higher usage and a willingness among jobseekers to use online sources.
Noras officials maintain that these trends also reflect the success of job boards in keeping up to date, able to provide a reliable source of information overall.
In total, the two most popular job boards posted over 2.5 million unique users each. Tim Elkington, managing director of Enhance Media, which manages Noras, is enthusiastic over the participation of various boards in the Noras audit.
"We're pleased that more job boards than ever before have completed a second traffic audit as part of Noras, providing recruitment advertisers with valuable, up to date information," he told Online Recruitment.
Online recruitment levels dipped in July according to a recent Monster Employment Index, reports Business Wire.
