HR staff 'most likely to eat lunch at their desks'

Human resources (HR) workers are more likely to stay in the office at lunch time and eat their sandwiches at their desk, the results of a new survey by ActionAid reveal.
According to onrec.com, around one in four said they do not take a break and eat while still sitting at their computer. Furthermore, 85 per cent said they spend £3 or less on their lunch with nearly half bringing their own food to fight the cost of the credit crunch.
TV chef Antony Worrell Thompson said "Making your own packed lunch is a great way to have a tastier, healthier and cheaper midday meal."
HR is not the only profession where people eat at their desk as most sectors saw one in five staying in the office at lunchtime.
Last week Mobility Operations was voted the Personnel Today best place to work in HR at the Best Place to Work awards.
