A company which provides the human resources (HR) industry with search software has launched announced the launch of a major database.
International software company Actonomy, which equips the sector with online searching facilities claimed that the new database will help deal with skills shortages and deficiencies in candidate hunting technology.
Filip De Geijter, the firm's chief executive officer, said: "Often recruiters conclude that they can't find any suitable candidates when theyre looking at a database with several tens of thousands or maybe even more than 100,000 CVs."
He further added that the database will appeal to the wider staffing community by using their input to "create solutions more suited to recruiters", onrec.com reported.
The Monster Employment Index recently found that online recruitment activity was down in the UK during June, with the legal, architecture and environment sectors being hit hardest.
