Good CVs 'more important than ever' during downturn
22-12-2008
Having good interview techniques and a quality CV is more important that ever in the current economic downturn, it has been claimed.
According to Interviewgold.com, many sectors are shrinking, making it harder for people to find employment.
These include customer service and the banking and finance sectors meaning jobseekers need to do all they can to help themselves when it comes to getting vacancies in these areas.
Joe McDermott, chief executive officer of Interviewgold.com, said that anyone looking for a job needs to "perfect their interview skills, their CV and prepare thoroughly for all those parts of the job search process".
This will then put them "in a better position when it comes to getting the job", he added.
In a recent press release from the Recruitment and Employment Confederation, Kevin Green, chief executive officer, said that there are more skilled people going to agencies to find work because they have been made redundant.
