The FTSE 100 fell 0.62 per cent in early trading to 5630.70, putting aside yesterday's gains.
At 9:18 BST, the London Stock Exchange Group was down 7.41 per cent after yesterday's gains on talk of a Qatari tie-in, while Thomson Reuters fell 4.79 per cent.
Rolls Royce Group fell 3.90 per cent, British Airways fell 3.49 per cent and British Sky Broadcasting was down 3.49 per cent.
Meanwhile, after falling yesterday the miners made up ground.
Anglo American was up 2.1 per cent, Antofagasta rose 1.15 per cent and Kazakhmys was up 0.57 per cent.
Meanwhile BP rose one per cent and Royal Bank of Scotland rose 0.55 per cent.
