Women are the target for financial services firm Deloitte as it aims to boost the number of female graduates it employs by using new recruitment methods, the Times reports.
The company claims that even though around 57 per cent of university graduates are women, the percentage of female recruits to Deloitte is in its low 40s.
It is now saying it wants to use volunteers who can walk around campuses or be put in touch with potential new recruits to chat and create role models for people who may want to join the business.
Tom Crawford, head of employee engagement and diversity, said the company needs to "reach out and understand" how women perceive it.
He also added: "We court talent and we are open-minded about where we get it from."
Speaking to Personnel Today, Marco Bertozzi, director media and digital at TMP Worldwide, claims that online recruitment is a good way to give job seekers information about a company and attract them to available jobs.
