A number of female workers are worried they do not possess the right skills to thrive in today's business environment, a new poll has revealed.
Conducted by Accenture, the survey found that 43 per cent of women professionals believe they don't have the right knowledge to succeed in the competitive economy.
Managing director of human capital and diversity at Accenture Armelle Carminati-Rabasse stated that employers should ensure their staff receive regular training.
"In this increasingly competitive landscape, companies have a mandate not only to adapt their business models, but also to equip each of their employees with a wide array of skills - many of which have not yet been demanded of executives," she said.
The study of 4,000 female professionals from around the world discovered that workers in developing nations are more confident in their skills than those from developed nations.
Yesterday it was suggested by a poll from Monster that employers are not doing enough to encourage women back to the workplace.
