Female minority employees 'in need of role models, flexibility and networking'

A government report has claimed that women from minority groups are in need of role models and flexible working offers to help them get further up the career ladder.
The Closing the Gap report stated that female public sector employees need role models, better support networking and flexible working options if they are to excel in higher job titles.
Deputy minister for women and equality Barbara Follett commented that women being increasingly involved in legislation and policy making will see public services "reflect the communities they serve."
She added: "In parliament where issues such as violence against women, maternity leave, flexible working and childcare are regularly discussed, we now have better and stronger policies."
Female employees are to see increasing hostility in the jobs market if new plans to grant them better maternity benefits come into force, according to UK law company Allen & Overy.
