Executive assistants find it more convenient not to spend long periods away from the office, new results published by Office Team reveal.
Approximately one third of executive assistants are favouring the mini break or long weekend over more extended holidays and only six per cent spent two weeks away from work at a time, OnRec reports.
However, the results revealed that workers took three to five days on average to feel relaxed away from work.
Victoria Sprott, the regional director for OfficeTeam, expressed concern about the amount of time people take to wind down from their jobs.
She said to OnRec: "Our survey clearly showed a worrying pattern with many workers choosing to take very short holiday breaks and struggling to de-stress within the first few days of the holiday.
"We suggest that people should try and take at least one elongated break away from the office even if it’s just to relax at home."
A survey published by OfficeTeam back in August revealed that a third of workers did not feel they have time to take their full holiday entitlement away from the office.
