One of Scotland's largest engineering firms is looking to recruit more staff over the next 18 months.
Plans have been unveiled by Babcock Marine to employ another 350 staff to meet its workload over the coming year, the Herald reports.
Following an expansion plan at the firm's site in Rosyth, Fife, Babcock Marine's new chief executive Archie Bethel commented that a number of impending contracts means more workers are needed.
"Significant investment is also being committed to Rosyth, where a £50 million programme of improvements starts next spring to provide the space and facilities - including the UK's largest crane - in anticipation of assembling the navy's two newest aircraft carriers," he said to the news source.
Claiming to be the world's leading vessel designers catering for 60 countries, Babcock Marine is a newly-formed marine support firm following the acquisition of Devonport Management by Babcock International.
