Employers urged 'to invest in local jobs'
Businesses have been urged by hospitality recruiters to invest in jobs in local communities as the recession continues in the UK.

This news comes as a restaurateur in Nottingham has announced plans to build a new establishment in a former public toilet to create local jobs and encourage development.

Speaking to Recruiter, Jane Brumby, director at Apple Appointments, said: "It's incredibly important to invest in local jobs. It is important to your business within your local area to support your area."

This opinion was echoed by Gary King, director at Collins King and Associates, who said that employers should look to take on workers from their local area, although this is difficult in large cities as many people have to travel.

Meanwhile, new plans have been unveiled to provide funding for jobseekers to help them pay for things such as childcare and interview attire.
