Employees want better access to technology to help them complete their work, a survey has found.
Conducted by Samsung Electronics, research has revealed that one in five employees do not have access to basic IT facilities to help them do their job.
Furthermore, 38 per cent of respondents said they had no way to feedback on the IT facilities they use.
A further 37 per cent described IT services in the workplace as average.
IT business director for Samsung IT Graham Paterson commented that many companies may need to address their technological services.
"Our survey results suggest that organisations need to ensure IT policies are more closely aligned with employee activity and business strategy," he remarked.
By doing so, he added, employees would be less frustrated and productivity will be increased.
Last week, a study by Mercer found UK IT workers are among the most highly paid in the world.
