Employees check emails out of office hours, finds survey

Some employees are using the latest technology to keep on top of their emails out of office hours, a new poll has revealed.
One in ten tech savvy staff who are equipped with mobile phones, WiFi or BlackBerrys told Office Angels that they regularly check their correspondence when they are out of the office, Online Recruitment reports.
According to David Clubb, managing director of Office Angels, employees should be more restrained with new technology.
He remarked: "It's important that you maintain a work life balance and keep work in perspective.
"Occasionally we all need to work outside of normal hours, but this should really be the exception not the rule."
However, one in six employees stated that they felt less stressed if they check their emails constantly so that they do not build up.
Citrix Online recently discovered that many small to medium-sized businesses are offering the possibility of flexible working to their workers.
