Employees in the UK would choose to take a dream job even if it meant taking home less money at the end of the month, a new poll has revealed.
Out of the 2,229 workers in the UK questioned by Monster, 80 per cent said that they would take a pay cut for the chance to have a more fulfilling role, Online Recruitment reports.
Managing director of Monster UK and Ireland Julian Acquari stated: "Finding the right job for someone is just as important as finding the right person for the job - it has to be a positive relationship for both the employer and employee."
He added that it was "gratifying" to know the majority of people would opt for job satisfaction over money.
Throughout Europe, only Irish, Swiss and Italian employees would be more likely to make the same decision, the firm found.
Monster recently released its Employment Index, which revealed that the online recruitment in the finance sector increased over the month of April.
