A programme which unites employees through cookery has contributed towards strengthening relationships in the workplace, it has been claimed.
Used by UK company BT since last year, the scheme, devised by mydish.co.uk has proved highly successful and popular, according to the telecoms firm.
Activities promoted by the programme include exchanging recipes and holding cooking contests among employees.
The thriving scheme is now being adopted by UK insurance firm AXA, managementtoday.com reported.
Caroline Waters, people and policy director for BT said that food not only "reveals a lot about people's personalities" but also provides a point of unity for employees of different ages and ranks.
"Everyone has got a recipe; from our chairman's favourite Pasta a la Provence to our watchman's winter warming sausage casserole," she said.
Though the government announced a £372 million anti-obesity scheme in January, it has not yet been put into place, according to Personnel Today.
